The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced a massive recruitment exercise for academic staff, non-teaching staff, junior staff, and medical staff positions.
The management of the institution confirmed that applications are officially open to qualified Nigerians who meet the outlined requirements.
In the announcement signed by Gloria O. Chindah Registrar, the University said, “Applications for massive recruitment are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the under-listed positions in the University of Port Harcourt.”

Requirements:
The institution also released the general requirements for applicants in each category.
A. ACADEMIC STAFF (General Requirements)
1. Candidates must possess relevant academic qualifications (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD depending on the position).
2. Evidence of teaching and/or professional experience in a university or institution of similar status.
3. Demonstrated ability for research and scholarly publications where applicable.
4. Minimum years of teaching or professional experience as required for each level of appointment.
B. NON-TEACHING STAFF (General Requirements)
5. Candidates must possess relevant academic or professional qualifications (First Degree, HND, OND, or equivalent depending on the position).
6. NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate where applicable.
7. Evidence of cognate experience in public service or well-established private sector.
8. Membership or registrability with relevant professional bodies where required.
9. Minimum years of experience depending on the level of appointment.
10. For junior cadre positions, possession of First School Leaving Certificate, SSCE/NECO/NABTEB with required credits, and relevant trade tests or certifications.
C. MEDICAL STAFF (General Requirements)
11. Candidates must possess a recognized medical degree.
12. Must be registered with the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council.
13. NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate.
14. Minimum years of post-registration experience as required.
