ASAD Energy Fleet Ltd has opened Phase 1 of its CNG Conversion Internship Programme, offering 50 young Nigerians practical training and a monthly transport stipend. The company describes it as the first paid CNG conversion internship offered by a private firm in Nigeria.

Applicants must be aged 18 to 29 and willing to relocate to any ASAD CNG Conversion Workshop nationwide. Training will take place through hands-on mechanical workshop instruction. Experience as an electrician, mechanic or panel beater is an added advantage, but no formal qualification is required.

The programme provides a pathway to full-time employment with ASAD. However, interns who gain expertise and are confirmed as full-time staff must commit to serving the company for three years. Each intern will sign a bond requiring them not to quit or join another firm before the pledged period ends, or to reimburse the company before leaving.

Workshops are listed in Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, Jigawa, Zamfara and Maiduguri, with other locations expected to be added.

The notice does not specify the stipend amount or training duration. Applicants should review the three-year service commitment carefully, particularly the bond and reimbursement terms, before applying. The programme targets young people ready to learn practical skills and pursue work in the CNG conversion sector.

The application window opened on November 2 and closes on November 5, 2026. ASAD says first-batch candidates will be contacted and shortlisted before the end of November.

How to apply

Applicants should submit a one-page CV to ASAD Group Head Office, Plot C1-C3 Abdullahi Bayero Way, by Obasanjo Road, Kano. Those outside Kano can email their CV to cng-project@asadgroups.com. Applications must be submitted before the November 5 deadline.
