The Bauchi State Ministry of Education has refuted a fake press release circulating on social media that claimed all schools in the state would reopen today, 26 November 2025. In a statement released on Wednesday, the Ministry said the message did not originate from any official source and should be completely ignored by the public. The Ministry described the viral announcement as “false, misleading, and not issued by the Bauchi State Ministry of Education.”
According to the clarification, all schools across the state remain closed. This includes public, private, and tertiary institutions. The Ministry explained that reopening will only take place “when the safety and security of our students and staff are fully guaranteed.” Officials emphasised that protecting learners and ensuring clear communication remain top priorities.
The release ended with the message, “Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Long live Bauchi State,” and was signed by Jalaludeen Usman, Anipr, the Information and Public Relations Officer of the Bauchi State Ministry of Education.
