The Bauchi State Scholarship Board has opened its online application portal for the 2026 scholarship programme. Interested students can now apply for financial support through the official platform. The board is a government agency dedicated to assisting students from Bauchi State with scholarships and educational grants to help them pursue quality education.
The board aims to promote access to higher education by providing financial assistance and guidance to deserving students. It believes that unity and collaboration increase what society can achieve, and that education remains a powerful tool for personal growth and social development. Education helps individuals understand the world better, apply knowledge responsibly, and promote equality by giving people from different backgrounds the opportunity to succeed on equal footing.
Selection for the scholarship is based on academic merit. To be eligible, applicants must be indigenes of Bauchi State and must be enrolled in or have gained admission into an accredited tertiary institution such as a university, polytechnic, or college of education. Applicants are also required to have a minimum grade or CGPA, for example at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent, from their previous level of study.
In addition, candidates must provide all required documents, including academic transcripts, admission letter, certificate of state of origin, passport photograph, and a valid identity card. Applicants are expected to complete the online form accurately, upload the necessary documents, and submit their applications within the stipulated timeframe.
Disbursement of funds is expected to begin in June 2026.
