The Bauchi State Scholarship Board has issued a follow-up report on its Talent-Based Scholarship Program, themed Advancing Agriculture, Renewable Energy, and Economic Development. This update follows an earlier announcement where only the theme was disclosed and applicants were told to wait for further details.

In the new statement, officials confirmed that 13 secondary schools across Bauchi have been selected to participate in the 2025 programme. These include public schools such as Dr. Ibrahim Tahir Comprehensive Secondary School, Government Girls College, and Jibrin Aminu Secondary School. Private institutions like ATAP International Academy, League Intellect Academy, and Sunshine International Academy have also joined.

The programme, aimed at promoting economic development in Nigeria, will identify talented students and empower them to contribute to key sectors like agriculture and renewable energy. The board emphasised that the full application process will be released soon.

According to the statement, “We are committed to nurturing talent across all social levels. While this update shares participating schools, application guides will be shared shortly.”

A special focus has also been placed on out-of-school youths. The board revealed a separate category designed to support young people who dropped out due to financial hardship or other issues. These individuals will benefit from bridging education, vocational skills training, and entrepreneurship support, especially in agriculture and solar energy.

“This scholarship isn’t just about education. It is about building future leaders in renewable energy, agribusiness, and the broader economy,” the board stated.
