The Office of the Special Adviser on Youth and Entrepreneurship, Bauchi State Government, has received a courtesy visit from the UUJ Vocational Educational Center, led by Usman Umar Jahun, alongside the League of Youth Awareness for Self-Reliant Initiative, headed by its Chairman, Aliyu Ahmad Daguma.
The meeting focused on areas of partnership aimed at driving youth empowerment and promoting entrepreneurship in Bauchi State.
During the visit, the organisations shared their commitment to supporting government initiatives that target young people. The UUJ Vocational Educational Center, which has built a reputation for delivering vocational training and skills acquisition programmes, presented its ongoing efforts in equipping youth with practical skills.
The centre has also partnered with Engr. Shamsuddeen Bala Mohammed, also known as Dangaladiman Duguri, to implement the Dangaladiman Duguri Vocational and Skills Acquisition Program. This project is designed to strengthen the capacity of young people to adapt to opportunities in the changing job market.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Mohammed Atiku Isah, Special Adviser on Youth and Entrepreneurship, expressed his delight at the prospect of working closely with the visiting organisations.
“We are enthusiastic about this partnership because it will create more opportunities for young people in Bauchi State. By joining forces, we can scale up youth development and expand entrepreneurship programmes across the state,” he said.
Usman Umar Jahun emphasised that the centre is dedicated to ensuring young people acquire the right skills for economic independence, while Aliyu Ahmad Daguma stressed that the League of Youth Awareness for Self-Reliant Initiative is determined to support programmes that reduce unemployment and promote entrepreneurship.
The meeting ended with a commitment to pursue joint initiatives that will support youth empowerment and economic growth in Bauchi State.
