The Bayelsa State Ministry of Education has officially announced the date for the Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS 1) Scholarship Oral Interview Examination into the Captain Samuel Owonaro Timipre Ijaw National Academy, Kaiama. The exercise is scheduled to take place on 8th July, 2025, at exactly 10:00 am.
This exercise follows the successful completion of the first phase written examination. All Head Teachers of Public Primary Schools across the eight local government areas of the state are expected to present their qualifying pupils for the oral interview.
According to a statement signed by Mr. Okene Simon-peter, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, “Only successful pupils from the earlier written test will be allowed for the oral interview.” He added that each pupil must appear in full school uniform and come along with their original photo card for identification.
The oral interview will be held at Bishop Dimieari Grammar School (BDGS), Yenagoa. This initiative supports quality education, scholarship opportunities, and access to tuition-free schooling for outstanding pupils in Bayelsa State.
