The Northern Girl Initiative (NGI) has opened applications for its 2026 Internship Programme, inviting young Nigerian graduates who are passionate about advancing women and girls’ empowerment to apply. This opportunity is designed for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience while contributing to impactful community-driven initiatives.
NGI is a non-profit organisation focused on promoting the rights, education, and wellbeing of girls and young women across Nigeria. Through its programmes, the organisation continues to drive advocacy, capacity building, and sustainable development interventions in underserved communities.
Available Internship Positions
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for any of the following roles:
- Programs Assistant
- Communication and Advocacy Lead
These roles offer selected interns the chance to work closely with experienced professionals, develop practical skills, and actively support projects that influence positive social change.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Possess an HND or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
- Show a strong passion for women and girls’ empowerment
