The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission has announced the commencement of applications for its 2024/2025 bursary and scholarship scheme, targeting students from oil-producing communities in Ondo State.
The scheme is specifically open to indigenes of Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas who are currently enrolled in recognised tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The initiative is part of OSOPADEC’s continued effort to support education and human capital development within its mandate areas.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be indigenes of Ilaje and/or Ese-Odo Local Government Areas
- Be full-time students in accredited public or private tertiary institutions in Nigeria for the 2024/2025 academic session
- Be undergraduate or postgraduate students, including Law School candidates, with verified student status
Applicants enrolled in part-time, sandwich, pre-degree, NTI, or diploma programmes, as well as those attending unaccredited institutions, are not eligible for the scheme.
Required Documents
During the online registration process, applicants are expected to upload:
- Recent passport photograph
- Certificate of Local Government of Origin
- JAMB admission letter
- School fees receipt for the 2024/2025 academic session
- Valid student identity card
Important Notes for Applicants
- Bank details submitted cannot be changed after application
- Applicants must print their registration slip after completing the form
- The slip must be signed and stamped by the Dean of Student Affairs or Head of Department
- The signed document must be uploaded to finalise the application
Applications will be submitted online via the official OSOPADEC bursary portal. The application window opens on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and closes on Monday, May 18, 2026.
