The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has released the full update on the Examination Phase of the CDCFIB 2025 recruitment exercise. This stage, which is the third phase of the ongoing recruitment process, focused on the online Computer-Based Test held from 12th to 19th November 2025. Officials described it as a major step in identifying qualified candidates.
According to the board, the CBT was designed to ensure a fair, transparent and merit-driven assessment across all participating states.
The latest scoreboard shows how candidates performed nationwide. A total of 221,996 applicants scored between 0 and 40, while 229,155 candidates fell within the 41 to 60 range. The highest cluster was the 61 to 80 category with 278,543 candidates, followed by 142,697 applicants who scored between 81 and 100. The board noted that the wide spread of results reflects the scale of participation and the competitive nature of this phase.
State-by-state figures were also released. Kogi led with 94,317 candidates completing the examination, followed by Kaduna with 89,428 and Benue with 83,751.
Kano recorded 78,822 candidates, while Niger had 73,105. Other large participating states included Kwara with 71,446, Katsina with 69,874 and Nasarawa with 67,510. Adamawa followed with 64,228 and Oyo with 62,889. Plateau had 59,550, Osun recorded 57,318, and Borno listed 54,411.
Additional figures showed Ondo with 53,229, Akwa Ibom with 52,844, and Bauchi with 51,208. Imo recorded 48,660 candidates, while Taraba had 46,722 and Gombe had 45,847. Jigawa had 44,201, Ogun 41,553, Enugu 40,667, and Yobe 38,428.
Kebbi had 37,550, Edo 35,993, and Anambra 34,771. Ekiti stood at 33,588, Cross River at 32,448, and Abia at 31,229. Sokoto recorded 30,115, the Federal Capital Territory 28,940, and Zamfara 27,822. Delta had 26,744, Ebonyi 24,216, Rivers 22,919, Lagos 18,611, and Bayelsa 12,467.
The Board confirmed that the stage 4 of CDCFIB recruitment will be the physical screening and document verification phase, stating that details will be released soon.
