The Nigerian Navy has confirmed that 59,561 applicants have been shortlisted for the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Batch 38 recruitment examination. In an official announcement, the Navy stated that “a total of 59,561 candidates have been shortlisted,” highlighting the scale of the upcoming exercise. The recruitment examination is scheduled for Saturday 29 November 2025 across 30 designated centres nationwide.
To check Navy shortlisted candidates, applicants are to visit the Nigerian Navy recruitment portal Here to know their status and exam centres. Applicants are to enter their Registration Number on the portal to confirm whether they made the shortlist and to view their assigned location. It added that “shortlisted candidates are to report at the designated centres by 7.00 AM for the Examination.”
The Navy stressed strict compliance with centre assignments, noting that no candidate will be allowed to write the exam in any location other than the one displayed on the portal. All shortlisted applicants must come with their application form printout, one coloured passport photograph, and writing materials such as a 2B pencil and eraser.
The Navy also announced that candidates who pass the examination will proceed to basic military training and eventually be enlisted into the Nigerian Navy as Ordinary Seamen. The notice was issued by the Navy Secretary.
