The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has announced that it will start removing non-financial members from its register beginning Wednesday, 31st December 2025.
This follows the powers granted to the Institute under the Act of Parliament CAP 115 LFN 2004, which mandates it to regulate and manage the human resource profession across Nigeria.
In a public notice signed by the Registrar and Chief Executive, Oluwatoyin Naiwo, FCIPM, the Institute said, “This publication serves as formal notice to all members with outstanding membership subscriptions that they are at risk of being delisted from the Institute’s register.”
CIPM has called on all affected members to renew their subscriptions and update their records before the deadline. “To retain your membership and continue enjoying the benefits thereof, we urge you to renew your subscription and update your records with the Institute on or before Wednesday, 31st December 2025,” the statement said.
Members can confirm their financial status by visiting the official CIPM website at www.cipmnigeria.org and using the “Members Search” tool. If a member’s name does not appear, it means they are currently classified as a non-financial member.
The Institute also warned that “practising Human Resource Management in Nigeria without CIPM certification after delisting constitutes a violation of the law and a breach of professional standards.”
For enquiries related to subscriptions and record updates, members can email subscriptions@cipmnigeria.org or contact the Institute through WhatsApp or call +234 909 462 5615.
