There are new claims surfacing online that the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, has started reviewing the list of trainees with Pending status. Although there is no official statement from TVET on this matter, it was earlier reported that trainees’ status marked as pending will continue to be updated from time to time.

A trending update tagged “TVET UPDATE” reads, “PENDING Status Complaints have officially been submitted to TVET management, and they have assured that approvals will begin as early as MONDAY.” This has sparked reactions among applicants who have been waiting for their approval since the last phase of verification.

Candidates whose status may be updated will reportedly receive email notifications and are expected to report to their training centres within five days to complete their registration. TVET earlier warned that failure to report to the assigned training centre will lead to the cancellation of the application, and the slot will be reassigned to another applicant.

Meanwhile, some already approved trainees have raised concerns about being matched to centres too far from their locations, forcing them to reject or miss documentation. Such unclaimed slots are expected to be handed over to applicants with Pending status on their dashboard.
