The Christiana Omosigho Foundation (COF) has announced the launch of the COF Final Year Student Support Fund 2025, a new initiative aimed at assisting final-year students across Nigerian tertiary institutions. The foundation is offering financial support of up to N1,000,000 to help students complete their education without financial stress.
According to the foundation, the program is designed to assist outstanding and hardworking students facing financial challenges. “Every student deserves the chance to finish strong, regardless of their financial background,” the foundation stated.
Successful applicants will receive up to ₦1,000,000 to cover project expenses, maintenance, and tuition-related costs for one academic year. The goal is to help students concentrate fully on their final-year work without worrying about financial burdens.
The COF explained that the scholarship also provides mentorship and empowerment opportunities to beneficiaries. “We want to not only support students financially but also guide them toward personal and professional growth,” the foundation added.
The foundation outlined several benefits for successful applicants, including up to ₦250,000 for project expenses, ₦80,000 for maintenance allowance, and additional support for tuition or other academic needs.
Eligibility for the COF Final Year Student Support Fund requires applicants to be final-year students in an accredited Nigerian tertiary institution. They must provide a signed transcript verified by both their Faculty Officer and Head of Department (HOD), present a valid student ID card, and have no carryovers in their academic record.
Applicants are also required to create a one-minute video explaining why they deserve the support, post it on their social media page, and tag @christianaomosigho_foundation while inviting the foundation as a collaborator. A referee must be present in the video. Candidates must also submit a one-page statement of eligibility outlining their reasons for applying.
The next step involves filling out the online application form available through the link in the foundation’s bio. Applicants are to upload all required documents, including their signed transcript, valid student ID, and CV if available.
All applications must be submitted on or before November 13th, 2025. The foundation emphasized that late submissions will not be considered.
“The final year of school can be financially demanding, from project work to living costs. This fund is designed to give students the peace of mind they need to focus on their academic success,” the statement noted.
