Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Olufemi Ibitoye of Pathfinder International, representing the Geo-ST4R Project, explained that the initiative is designed to improve micro-planning processes by deploying advanced digital products. He highlighted four major solutions.

The first, the Geo-Spatial Micro-Planning Tool Kit (GMT), is a platform that enhances data collection, analysis, and micro-planning in routine immunization activities. The second, a Snackable Chatbot, is an AI-powered communication tool that allows for real-time interaction and efficient data dissemination. The third solution, the Master Settlement Registry (MSR), provides accurate mapping and tracking of health facilities and service delivery points. The fourth, a Decision Support Dashboard, offers centralized systems for data management and supports evidence-based decision-making.

“These tools were developed through a joint effort of Pathfinder International, DSN, and Natview Foundation for Innovation and Technology (NFTI) to strengthen RMNCHN activities and improve public health outcomes,” Dr. Olufemi said.

The consortium also sought the approval of the Director General to transition these digital products onto the Kano State server. This would ensure open access for state agencies and development partners, allowing seamless integration and adaptation of the tools to meet operational needs.

Professor Salisu Ahmad Ibrahim commended the initiative and assured the Board’s readiness to collaborate with partners. He emphasized the importance of harnessing technology to improve primary health care delivery across Kano State.
