The Cowrywise Ambassadors Program is making headlines again as it continues its push to empower Nigerian students with financial literacy and digital skills. Founded in 2017 by fintech innovators Razaq Ahmed and Edward Popoola, Cowrywise has long emphasized accessible investment platforms, mutual fund investments, Eurobond opportunities, and secure savings products for its more than 220,000 users. The ambassadors initiative, launched in May 2021, extends this mission directly onto campuses nationwide, turning students into advocates for financial independence.

Cowrywise described the program as a national experiential learning model designed to expose students to career readiness, financial education, and an entrepreneurial mindset. According to the organization, the goal is to build a community of over 50,000 campus ambassadors and 5,000 graduate ambassadors across more than 460 institutions. From Abia State University to Adeleke University, students regularly host events, share investment tips for beginners, and promote wealth building in Nigeria. Cowrywise noted that the program continues to evolve in 2025 with a stronger focus on sustainable investing and personal finance education. The company said, “This initiative prepares young people for a dynamic economy by giving them real-world experience.”

The benefits of joining the Cowrywise Ambassadors Program 2025 stretch beyond typical extracurricular activities. Participants gain hands-on financial literacy training through weekly sessions, learn budgeting and saving strategies, and develop digital marketing skills needed for fintech jobs in Nigeria. Cowrywise confirmed that ambassadors also access paid internships in tech and engineering roles, build networks with thousands of peers and mentors, and receive merchandise, referral bonuses, certificates, and public recognition. Past participants, the company stated, have contributed to app features and strengthened their leadership abilities. The program also offers scholarships and exposure to global fintech trends.

Eligibility remains open to students enrolled in universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. Recent graduates may join the alumni track. The program places emphasis on passion for financial literacy, innovation, and interest in Nigerian investment opportunities. Cowrywise stated that no prior experience is required.

Applications for the 2025 cohort operate on a rolling basis. The company advised applicants to apply early for upcoming campus activities.

Cowrywise outlined the process: visit the Official Portal, fill in academic and personal details, submit a motivation statement, and wait one to two weeks for email feedback. Selected candidates complete onboarding and immediately begin hosting events and earning rewards. Cowrywise emphasized that the application is free and encourages students to take advantage of opportunity.
