The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has called on Corps Members to use social media positively by creating good content that promotes national unity, personal growth, and business opportunities in Nigeria.
Speaking during his visits to the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two Corps Members at the NYSC Orientation Camps in Anambra, Imo, and Enugu States, General Nafiu encouraged Corps Members to focus on content that supports religious harmony, positive networking, and cultural learning.
“Use social media wisely,” he said. “Let it be a tool for unity, self-development, and connection with others. Avoid content that causes division or spreads negativity.” He added that the service year is a time to build relationships, learn about host communities, and create memories that last.
