Cash and gifts worth about N15 billion were given out to distributors and customers of Dangote Cement Plc as the company organised a special ceremony to reward loyalty, resilience, and strong performance across its distribution network.
The event, which held recently at the Eko Convention Centre, brought together key stakeholders from across the country. Speaking at the ceremony, the chairman and president of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, described distributors as the heartbeat of the organisation and commended their efforts in ensuring Dangote products reach communities nationwide.
Business Post reports that the 2026 Distributors’ Awards Night, held under the theme Partner for Growth, saw recipients walk away with a wide range of rewards. These included cash prizes, containers of cement, high-end sport utility vehicles, and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks, reflecting both performance recognition and long-term partnership support.
Mr Dangote used the occasion to restate the company’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to transform the Dangote Group into a $100 billion enterprise by the end of the decade. According to him, the strategy is anchored on industrial expansion, cross-border investments, and strengthening Africa’s self-sufficiency in key sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
“Your tireless work in the field, your alluring commitment to our products and your direct engagement with our customers are what turn our vision and strategies into tangible results,” he said. He added that Vision 2030 aligns with the group’s Africa First project, driven by the belief that Africans must build the continent’s future through ambition, discipline, and innovation.
Also speaking at the event, the chairman of the board of Dangote Cement, Emmanuel Ikazoboh, highlighted the importance of distributor partnerships in ensuring nationwide availability of the company’s products. He disclosed that about N9 billion in cash prizes were awarded to distributors, noting that some recipients qualified for multiple rewards based on both sales volume and growth.
In addition to cash incentives, he said the company presented CNG-powered trucks and high-end vehicles to demonstrate its appreciation for outstanding performance. Mr Ikazoboh further revealed that Dangote Cement has invested heavily in CNG-powered trucks, with a target to fully transition its fleet by the end of 2027. According to him, the move supports logistics efficiency, customer empowerment, and the company’s broader sustainability goals.
He noted that the rewards reflect Dangote Cement’s commitment to supporting its partners while promoting responsible and sustainable business practices.
