August 13, 2025 – The Dangote Group has issued a public notice warning job seekers about a rising wave of employment scams targeting individuals through LinkedIn and other online platforms.
Recall that Dangote officially announced recruitment recently into various roles in states such as Lagos and Abuja.
According to the company, scammers have been impersonating Human Resources employees of Dangote Industries Limited, contacting applicants and demanding payment for job applications or recruitment processing.
In an official statement, the Group Chief Human Resources Officer said, “The Dangote Group does not request, solicit, or accept any form of payment from job applicants at any stage of the recruitment process.”
The statement emphasized that all genuine job vacancies are advertised exclusively through the company’s official channels, including the careers portal at https://careers.dangote.com. “Our recruitment process is merit-based and free of charge,” the officer added.
Dangote Group urged the public to remain vigilant, advising that anyone who receives suspicious communication claiming to be from the company’s HR and requesting money should not respond or share personal information.
The company reiterated its commitment to transparent, fair, and ethical recruitment practices. “Your safety is important to us,” the notice stressed.
This warning comes amid increasing reports of online job scams across Nigeria, highlighting the importance of verifying employment offers through official sources before taking any action. By this notice, applicants are advised to only use the official Dangote portal for application, as well as rely only on information from the official channels.
