According to the government, the centre will serve as a hub for online learning, digital literacy, innovation, and computer-based examinations. It is designed to empower Delta youths to succeed in today’s digital economy.

Governor Oborevwori appreciated NDIC, former NDIC Board Member Ms. Diana Okonta, and immediate past Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for their efforts in making the project possible.

He said that under the MORE Agenda, his administration will continue to equip young people with knowledge, technical skills, and opportunities to become job creators and global competitors.

At the event, leaders, traditional rulers, stakeholders, and dignitaries praised the Governor for this milestone. They also noted other ongoing projects in Aniocha North, including the Issele-Asagba–Utulu Road, township roads in Onicha-Ugbo, and facilities at the College of Nursing, Onicha-Uku.

Governor Oborevwori urged the host community to safeguard and fully utilise the facility.

He described the centre as “a bridge to the future where no community is left behind.”

He added that the project reflects his administration’s commitment to digital transformation, ICT training, and youth empowerment in Delta State.
