They noted that the intervention was aimed at encouraging innovation, promoting self-reliance, and equipping young people with the tools needed to build sustainable enterprises while still in school.

According to the government, each of the selected students received a grant of N400,000 to support the development and expansion of their business ideas into viable ventures.

The officials added that the initiative aligns with the state’s development blueprint, which prioritises youth empowerment and economic growth through practical support systems.

They stressed that the programme would help reduce unemployment by nurturing a new generation of entrepreneurs capable of contributing meaningfully to the state’s economy.

Participants at the event expressed optimism that the financial support and mentorship opportunities embedded in the programme would enable them to scale their ideas into profitable businesses.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to investing in young people, noting that empowering students through entrepreneurship remains a critical pathway to building a more prosperous and self-sustaining Delta State.
