David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences has announced the commencement of admission sales for the 2026/2027 academic session for undergraduate programmes across health sciences, engineering, computing and related fields.
The University invited qualified candidates to apply for admission into its various degree programmes and also announced opportunities for candidates interested in its IJMB programme.
According to the notice released by the institution, candidates seeking admission must make DUFUHS their first choice institution in JAMB before they can qualify for admission processing.

The University said admissions are currently open into the following programmes:
- Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)
- Pharmacy (Pharm D)
- Nursing Science (BNS)
- Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)
- Physiotherapy (DPT)
- Biomedical Engineering (B.Eng)
- Radiography and Radiation Science
- Optometry (OD)
- Computer Science
- Industrial and Medical Physics
- Industrial and Medicinal Chemistry
- Industrial Mathematics and Statistics
- Biology/Biotechnology
- Dentistry (BDS)
- Microbiology/Parasitology
- Public Health
- Human Nutrition and Dietetics
Admission Requirements
DUFUHS stated that candidates applying for any of the undergraduate programmes must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must choose the University as first choice institution in JAMB.
- Applicants must possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics in WAEC, NECO or equivalent examinations.
- Candidates must score a minimum of 150 in the 2025 UTME.
The institution also explained that candidates who did not initially select DUFUHS as first choice but scored 150 and above can still apply after carrying out a change of institution through the JAMB portal.
For candidates who did not sit for JAMB but still wish to study at the University, the institution advised them to apply for its Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme.
According to the school, the IJMB programme runs for one year and successful candidates can gain direct entry admission into 200 level without writing JAMB.
Deadline for Application
The University announced that the sale of forms will close by 4:00pm on August 30, 2026.
Applicants were advised to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid issues associated with late application.
How To Apply For DUFUHS Admission 2026/2027
The admission form is available online through the official University portals:
Step 1 – Buy Admission Form
Candidates can purchase the undergraduate admission form online through the University portal by selecting the admission menu and clicking “Buy Undergraduate Admission Form Online”.
Applicants can also obtain an electronic PIN through any bank branch nationwide by making payment on the REMITA platform.
The University said applicants are required to pay ₦10,000 only for the form and obtain a payment slip containing a unique PIN.
Step 2 – Complete Online Application
After obtaining the PIN, candidates should visit the University portal and select “Online Application Undergraduate” under the admissions menu.
Applicants will then enter their phone number and e-PIN to log in and complete the application form by following the instructions provided on the portal.
Step 3 – Print Application Form
Candidates are expected to print out their completed application form after successful submission.
