Ebonyi State University has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university invited qualified candidates to apply for admission into the various postgraduate programmes available under the institution’s School of Postgraduate Studies.
According to the admission notice released by the university, applications officially opened on May 1, 2026 and will close on June 30, 2026.
Applicants seeking admission are expected to complete their registration through the official postgraduate application portal provided by the university.
The institution stated that all applicants must carefully follow the approved application procedures and submit all necessary documents before the deadline.

Interested candidates are required to apply online through the official EBSU postgraduate admission portal portal.ebsu.edu.ng/PG/Applications/PGApplicationLogin.aspx
Application Guidelines
The university outlined the following steps for candidates applying for the postgraduate programmes:
- Visit the postgraduate application portal.
- Enter a valid phone number.
- Select the 2026/2027 academic session.
- Click on the proceed button to continue.
- Fill in the required application details.
- Generate an invoice for payment.
- Pay the application fee of N10,050.
- Return to the portal after payment.
- Complete the full application form.
- Request reference letters from three referees.
- Two of the referees must be academics familiar with the applicant’s academic performance and ability.
- Upload original copies of all required documents.
- Submit the completed application online.
Academic Transcript Requirement
The university also directed applicants to ensure that their previous institutions forward official academic transcripts directly to the School of Postgraduate Studies before the application deadline.

Applicants who fail to submit transcripts before the close of admissions may experience delays in the processing of their applications.
Candidates are advised to take note that application Opening Date is May 1, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026.
The university encouraged interested applicants to complete their registrations early and avoid waiting until the closing period.
