The Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) has announced an extension of the deadline for filing Individual Annual Tax Returns (Form A) and PAYE Tax Returns (Form H3), giving taxpayers more time to comply with statutory obligations.

According to the public notice issued by the agency, the new deadline has been moved to April 30, 2026, from the initial March 31 timeline. The extension applies to individuals under paid employment as well as business owners and other taxable persons across the state.

The agency said the decision was taken to allow taxpayers adequate time to complete their filings, improve compliance levels, and ensure the accuracy of submitted information. It also noted that the extension would support ongoing sensitisation efforts targeted at individuals, professionals, artisans, content creators, consultants, and employers of labour.

EIRS further urged taxpayers to take advantage of its digital platforms to complete their filings, noting that the process has been simplified through its electronic tax system.
