Ekiti State Govt Launches Ounje Ekiti Retail Outlet

The Ekiti State Government has launched the Ounje Ekiti Retail Outlet, a major part of the Ekiti State Food Security Project. The initiative allows residents to buy quality food items directly from the hub at rates significantly lower than market prices.

According to the government, this step will improve access to safe and nutritious food across the state. Officials explained that the project aims to strengthen the state’s food system by reducing post-harvest losses, improving storage, aggregation, and ensuring efficient distribution.

“This is a strategic move to tackle food insecurity and make nutritious food more affordable for Ekiti people,” a the state government said.
