Ekiti State has launched the Ekiti Agritech Initiative (EAI) to change how farming works in the region. Supported by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, this initiative is focused on using smart farming tools and technology to help farmers produce more food and earn better income.

Before EAI, many farmers in Ekiti used outdated methods. This led to low crop yields and little interest from young people in farming. With the EAI, things are changing fast.

The state is now offering agro-tech training and digital tools to modernize the way farming is done. These tools are helping farmers track their crops better and access new markets online.

EAI also makes it easier for farmers to get loans, buy smart farming equipment at lower prices, and partner with private companies. Farmers Innovation Hubs are being set up across Ekiti to train people and support agribusinesses.

The goal is to improve food security, create jobs in rural areas, and build a strong agro-economy. Digital market access and smart farming tools are at the heart of this plan. With these changes, Ekiti is becoming a leader in sustainable agriculture and rural development in Nigeria.
