The Ekiti State Government has announced the opening of applications for vacant medical positions at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti. This move is aimed at improving healthcare delivery across the state’s medical facilities.
This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, in a statement released to the press in Ado-Ekiti.
He explained that the recruitment exercise is a key part of the government’s commitment to strengthen its healthcare system and ensure quality service for residents.
According to Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun, “The advertised positions include Consultants in various fields of Dentistry such as Preventive Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Community Oral Health, and Paedodontics/Orthodontics. Physiotherapists are also needed.”
Other openings include Registrars under CONMESS 3 in departments like Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Laboratory Medicine. The Laboratory Medicine specialties cover Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Microbiology, and Morbid Anatomy.
Requirements:
The minimum requirements are as follows:
a. Recognized MBBS/BDS qualification
b. Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
c. Evidence of Primary Fellowship Examination (from NPMCN or WACP/WACS)
d. Postgraduate qualifications where applicable for Consultants (Dentistry)
e. Applicants for the Physiotherapists category must have a Degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the Rehabilitation Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria
f. All applicants must possess an NYSC Discharge Certificate or Certificate of Exemption
