The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), in collaboration with Airports Council International Africa (ACI-Africa), has commenced an onsite training on Aircraft Recovery Management. The programme, which runs from August 4 to 8, 2025, is currently being held at The Palms Hotel, Abuja.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, was represented by the Director of Special Duties, Mr Henry Agbebire, who officially declared the training open. While addressing participants, Mr Agbebire conveyed the Managing Director’s remarks, urging everyone present to engage fully.
“She encouraged all participants to open up in sharing their experiences from their various countries with their counterparts, network and collaborate in learning through this training in order to have an improved service delivery in their countries,” he said.
The training covers aircraft recovery procedures and the use of related equipment. Attendees include aviation professionals from Nigeria, Cameroon, Zambia, Swaziland, Egypt, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, Mauritania, and Kenya, focusing on aviation safety and operational efficiency.
