The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced registration for the Aerodrome Safety Basic Course, aimed at equipping newly recruited airport safety officers with essential safety knowledge and operational procedures.
Scheduled to run from 11th to 15th August 2025 at the FAAN Training School, Ikeja, Lagos, the 5-day course will be delivered in English through classroom sessions. The training is designed to help participants perform daily inspections, conduct safety risk assessments, and carry out immediate awareness training on aerodrome safety.
According to the organisers, “The course provides newly recruited airport safety officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to adhere to safety standards and procedures within the aerodrome.”
FAAN noted that the target audience includes newly recruited airport safety officers and supervisors. The training will boost aviation safety and align with global best practices in aerodrome operations.
