The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has launched a centralised recruitment portal for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), introducing a new digital system aimed at improving transparency, access, and accountability in federal job applications.

The Commission confirmed that its new official website, available at FCC Recruitment Portal, is now live as part of broader institutional reforms aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the FCC, the platform provides Nigerians with direct access to verified MDA job openings, eliminating the risks associated with fake recruitment links and racketeering. It also introduces a whistleblower channel through which users can report irregularities in recruitment processes across government institutions.

The Commission stated that the move represents “a shift toward clearer processes, visible systems, and accountability that is not distant but within reach,” adding that the digitisation effort is designed to standardise access to information and strengthen public trust.

The FCC, which is constitutionally mandated to enforce the Federal Character Principle, noted that the new system will support equitable representation across Nigeria’s diverse population. The principle ensures that employment, admissions, and other public opportunities reflect the country’s federal balance.

Speaking on the development, Executive Chairman, Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, said the Commission “continues to discharge its constitutional mandate of ensuring fairness, equity and balanced representation across the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

She explained that the newly deployed platform introduces a data-driven framework for monitoring, reporting, and evaluating compliance with federal character requirements across MDAs. According to her, it will also enhance engagement between the Commission and key stakeholders while improving operational efficiency.

“This platform will standardise access to information, improve transparency in institutional processes, and establish a more efficient framework for engagement with ministries, departments, and agencies,” she said.

The FCC added that the initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to build transparent, accountable, and responsive public institutions under the current administration.

With the launch of the portal, Nigerians can now search and apply directly for federal government jobs through a single verified channel, marking a significant step toward safer and more credible recruitment processes.
