Nigerians are reporting receipt of the Federal Government’s ₦50,000 relief payment under the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI), with Moniepoint credit alerts circulating on social media.
One beneficiary, Shehu Ahmed Hussaini, shared an alert showing a ₦50,000 credit dated November 7, 2026. He said he had received the NERSI payment.
The reports come as the Federal Government continues disbursement in phases through five approved providers: Moniepoint, ALAT by Wema Bank, MoMo Payment Service Bank (PSB), OPay and NairaGram.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction says beneficiaries are selected from the National Social Register and verified identity records. There is no public application process. Selected recipients must follow their provider’s SMS instructions and give consent before payment.
How to withdraw
Beneficiaries with credited Moniepoint wallets can use the app or dial *5573*27# to access services. They can transfer funds to a bank account or a Point of Sale (POS) agent and collect cash. POS operators may charge withdrawal fees. Never share your Personal Identification Number (PIN) or One-Time Password (OTP), or pay anyone to release the grant.
