The Federal Government’s National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI) has begun reaching selected beneficiaries, with MoMo Payment Service Bank (PSB) users receiving ₦50,000 credit alerts.

Screenshots shared by beneficiaries show alerts labelled “FG Relief NERSI” and “GOVT_DISBURSEMENT”, confirming wallet credits. Some recipients had earlier received messages asking them to accept the payment.
The intervention provides financial support to poor and vulnerable households affected by rising living costs. Beneficiaries are selected from verified records, including the National Social Register. There is no application form or registration fee.
Payments are being disbursed in phases, meaning not everyone will receive a notification at the same time. The government has not announced a complete schedule for subsequent batches.
NairaGram beneficiaries have also been notified, with the provider’s USSD code available for checking eligibility and accessing the payment.
How to check
MoMo PSB users can dial *671*0# and follow the prompts to Accept if they have been selected already. Never pay anyone to receive the grant or share your PIN or OTP.
