The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the release of 120 billion naira from TETFUND to NELFUND to support the FME TVET initiative. This was confirmed as part of efforts to boost Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Nigeria.
NELFUND will handle financing, including full payment of training fees for qualified applicants. “This move aims to empower Nigerian youth with practical, job-ready skills,” the Federal Ministry of Education stated.
The program is designed to promote self-reliance by offering accessible vocational education. According to sources, the training is expected to officially commence soon.
All participants will receive funding directly through NELFUND, making the process seamless and inclusive for eligible Nigerians seeking skill development and improved employment opportunities.
