Stakeholders and constituents of the digital and creative economy, both within Nigeria and abroad, have been officially informed of the disengagement of Fegho John Umunubo. He previously served as the Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy under the Office of the Vice President.
A statement released on Monday, September 8, 2025, noted that his disengagement takes immediate effect. “Kindly note that he no longer represents this administration in any capacity,” the statement read.
The notice further cautioned that “henceforth, anyone who interfaces with him in the name of President Tinubu’s administration does so at his or her own risk.”
Stakeholders are reminded to exercise caution in their dealings, with the government urging all participants in the digital and creative economy sector to be properly guided by this development.
