The Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in partnership with Investonaire Academy, has announced a new Financial Literacy, Investment, and Wealth Creation Programme designed to equip young Nigerians with financial management skills, digital competencies, and long-term economic empowerment opportunities. The launch will take place on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at the Rainbow Event Marquee Centre in Abuja at 9:00 a.m., with a live Zoom stream available for nationwide participation.
According to the Ministry, the initiative will enhance financial capability, encourage responsible investment culture, and strengthen sustainable wealth creation among youths. It stated that the programme will run on a modern Learning Management System offering free national financial literacy training to over 100,000 young people every year, supporting financial education, digital skills, and investment training.
The Ministry added that participants will also receive access to funded trading accounts and incentives for top performers. The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, will serve as Chief Host, while the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, will attend as Special Guest of Honour.
Key stakeholders expected at the event include senior government officials, development partners, private sector leaders, and youth representatives. Notable participants listed are Dr. Enefola Odiba, International Programme Director at Investonaire Academy, and Mr. Bashir Nurmohamed, Chief Executive Officer of Hantec Markets.
A high-level panel session involving experts from government, the financial industry, and the business community will discuss strategies to expand youth wealth creation and support inclusive economic growth.
The Ministry urged young Nigerians to register through the official portal at www.investonaire.org, stating that the initiative reflects the Federal Government’s ongoing commitment to financial inclusion, digital learning, and youth empowerment under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
