The Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy has announced the launch of a Hospitality Training Program and a world-class Animation Hub, a move aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda, . These initiatives are designed to position Nigerian youth for global opportunities in tourism, hospitality, and creative industries.
“Nigeria’s creative and hospitality sectors are brimming with talent, potential, and opportunity,” the Ministry stated. “Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, we are taking bold steps to ensure our youth have the skills, resources, and platforms they need to excel on the global stage.”
The new Hospitality Training Program will provide young Nigerians with essential knowledge and skills to deliver international-standard service in the tourism and hospitality industry.
According to the Ministry, this initiative represents a strategic investment in building a qualified workforce to strengthen the tourism sector, generate jobs, and boost Nigeria’s appeal as a travel destination.
“Hospitality is at the heart of tourism,” the statement continued. “A well-trained workforce ensures better visitor experiences, repeat tourism, and a stronger industry that benefits communities across Nigeria.”
This training aims to create global-standard professionals, allowing participants to access job opportunities around the world. With increased employment prospects and the ability to meet international standards, Nigerian youth will be well-equipped to thrive in tourism and hospitality careers.
The Ministry is also launching a world-class Animation Hub aimed at attracting international animation studios.
“With the right incentives and governmental support, Nigeria will become an attractive location for global animation studios seeking to outsource projects,” the Ministry explained.
The Animation Hub will offer shared resources, encourage collaboration, and connect young Nigerian animators with investors and industry professionals. “This hub will enable them to share costs and resources, create synergies, collaborate on ambitious projects, and build their own brands for the global market,” the Ministry said.
These efforts are part of a larger mission. “Whether through hospitality training or animation development, our mission is clear – to give Nigerian youth the skills, resources, and platforms they need to compete and succeed globally,” the Ministry affirmed.
“A Renewed Hope for Nigeria means investing in our people,” the Ministry concluded.
