The Federal Government’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative is set to commence training for Cohort 2 beneficiaries from July 1, 2026, following an induction ceremony scheduled for June 29.
This was disclosed in notices shared by some accredited training centres ahead of the commencement of the next phase of the programme.
According to the notice sent to trainees, the induction ceremony for Cohort 2 has been fixed for Monday, June 29, 2026, while training activities will begin from July 1, 2026.
“We are pleased to inform you that the Induction Ceremony for Cohort 2 has been scheduled for Monday, 29th June, 2026. The training sessions will commence thereafter from 1st July, 2026. Further details regarding the training schedule will be communicated in due course,” the notice stated.
The centres also directed trainees to come to the induction venue with one photocopy of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) to complete documentation requirements.
In addition, the notice warned that participants who failed to complete the 10 Fingers Thumbprint Enrollment exercise had been removed from the programme.
“Please note that any person who did not complete the 10 Fingers Thumbprint Enrollment has been unregistered from the programme and no longer has a place in the upcoming training at our centre,” the statement added.
The update comes as successful applicants under the Federal Government’s TVET Initiative prepare for the commencement of training under Cohort 2 across participating centres nationwide.
