The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Education, is set to launch the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business Incubation Certificate (EIBIC) Programme, a national initiative aimed at equipping young Nigerians with practical skills, business knowledge, and incubation support to drive innovation and enterprise growth.
This was obtained by Nigeria Startup News on Wednesday. According to the ministry, the programme is designed to empower young entrepreneurs, stimulate enterprise development, and strengthen the role of education in Nigeria’s economic transformation and inclusive national growth.
The government noted that the EIBIC Programme would bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world enterprise by providing participants with hands-on skills and incubation support needed to build sustainable ventures.
It added that the initiative would also promote job creation, support innovation, and accelerate inclusive economic development across the country.
The ministry further explained that the programme would position education as a key driver of productivity and national progress by aligning learning with industry needs.
The EIBIC Programme launch event is scheduled to hold on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Tertiary Education Trust Fund Auditorium, Abuja.
The event is expected to commence at 9:30 a.m., with participants arriving from 9:00 a.m.
Stakeholders from government, academia, industry, and development organisations are expected to attend the event.
Highlights of the launch will include the unveiling of the programme structure, presentation of its strategic vision, and opportunities for collaboration among key stakeholders.
The government said the initiative would open access to new opportunities for emerging innovators and entrepreneurs, while strengthening education as a tool for national development.
