The Federal Government has unveiled the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) Guideline 2.0 to strengthen coordination and improve health outcomes nationwide. The launch took place during the 3rd Quarter 2025 Ministerial Oversight Committee Meeting of the Federal Ministry of Health on the BHCPF in Abuja.
Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, said the updated guideline aims to promote performance-based implementation, transparency, and accountability in health fund management.
“The BHCPF Guideline 2.0 is designed to ensure that health resources are effectively used to deliver better services to Nigerians,” he stated.
Professor Pate, who also chairs the BHCPF Ministerial Oversight Committee, announced that the Federal Government has approved ₦32.9 billion for disbursement across all implementation gateways under the fund.
He explained that every naira spent through the BHCPF would be tracked to ensure accountability and improve healthcare delivery across Nigeria.
