Fidelity Bank Plc has extended its humanitarian efforts to Ekiti State, bringing relief to residents of Ado-Ekiti through its Fidelity Food Bank initiative. The program, which is designed to fight hunger and support vulnerable communities, distributed hundreds of food packs to households in the state capital.

This gesture is part of a broader national campaign that has already delivered more than 250,000 food packs across over 300 communities in Nigeria. The bank stated that the initiative reflects its long-term commitment to social responsibility and community development.

Speaking at the event, the Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, Dr Meksley Nwagboh, said, “The Fidelity Food Bank is our response to rising hunger levels in Nigeria. We’re proud to extend our coverage to Ado-Ekiti.” His remarks highlighted the bank’s resolve to strengthen food security and ease the burden on families struggling with high costs of living.

The donation was well received by community stakeholders and beneficiaries. Reverend Father Benedict Bimbola Joseph, Cathedral Administrator of Saint Patrick Catholic Cathedral, expressed appreciation, noting, “Fidelity Bank has brought relief to our people in Ado-Ekiti. We hope others will follow your lead.”

In addition to the Ekiti outreach, Fidelity Bank has recently supported victims of natural disasters in other regions. Over 1,500 flood victims in Mokwa, Niger State, received food assistance, while more than 2,000 displaced persons in Makurdi, Benue State, benefited from the program.

The bank reiterated its commitment to continue spreading care and ensuring that vulnerable groups receive vital support nationwide.
