Flourish Africa opens ₦1.3 billion grant for female entrepreneurs

Flourish Africa has announced the commencement of applications for its 2026 Business and Life Skills Programme (Cohort 5), offering a N1.3bn grant to support female entrepreneurs across Nigeria. The initiative is targeted at empowering women with funding, training, and mentorship to scale their businesses and achieve long-term impact.

Founded by Apostle Folorunso Alakija, Flourish Africa is a women empowerment movement focused on equipping women with the tools needed for personal and business growth. The programme is designed to support both young and adult women by providing access to valuable knowledge, financial support, and a strong network to thrive in business, careers, and life.

According to the organisers, the initiative reflects a belief in the strength and potential of women to build sustainable ventures, lead with purpose, and create meaningful change in their communities. Participants will benefit from structured training and financial support aimed at strengthening their entrepreneurial capacity.

To be eligible, applicants must be female entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 50, with businesses that have been operational for at least 12 months. In addition, the business must be located in Abuja, Lagos, or Port Harcourt. Individuals who have previously benefited from Flourish Africa programmes or grants are not eligible to apply.

Interested applicants are required to visit the application portal, create an account using a valid email address, and complete the registration process before proceeding with the application.

The application deadline is April 12, 2026. Applicants can submit their entries through the official portal at www.flourishafrica.com/apply.
