This role is based in Maiduguri, Borno State, and is suited for candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience who are eager to contribute to impactful programmes in health, nutrition, WASH, education, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).
Role Overview
The Programme Volunteer will support the implementation and coordination of field activities aimed at improving access to essential services. The position requires close collaboration with community stakeholders, health workers, and project teams to ensure effective delivery and monitoring of interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily programme implementation across assigned communities
- Maintain accurate programme records, reports, and databases
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating ongoing activities
- Facilitate community mobilisation and stakeholder engagement
- Provide mentorship and supervision to local community structures
- Collect and manage field data using tools such as KOBO and ODK
- Conduct field visits to ensure compliance with project standards
- Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports
- Participate in coordination meetings with local authorities and partners
- Support logistics and tracking of programme supplies and materials
Safeguarding and Accountability
A strong commitment to safeguarding and accountability is essential. The volunteer will be expected to uphold protection standards, promote beneficiary feedback systems, and report any safeguarding concerns in line with organisational policies.
