FSB Announces 2026/2027 Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP)

August 16, 2025 – The Federal Ministry of Education, through the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB), has announced the opening of applications for the 2026/2027 Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP).

The notification was released from the Board’s office at Plot 245 Samuel Ademulegun Street, Central Business District, Abuja.

According to the statement, “All interested Nigerian applicants are advised to visit the websites below:”

i. Masters Candidates: Here
ii. PhD Candidates: Here

The Board highlighted the eligibility requirements as follows:

i. Applicants must have 1st Class or 2nd Class Upper Division for Masters in his/her 1st Degree and 2nd Class lower Division is accepted for PhD applicants.
ii. NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
iii. Applicants must have gotten at least two admissions from UK Universities.
iv. Applicants must print out their completed application form before submitting it online.
v. PhD candidates must attach a supporting statement from the UK University.

The Federal Scholarship Board also emphasized that the application is free of charge and warned applicants not to pay anyone for the process.

The online applications open on 2nd of September, 2025 and close on Tuesday, 14th October, 2025.
