Under the patronage of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, West Africa’s boldest pitch competition, the Supernova Challenge, is set to return at GITEX Nigeria with bigger rewards.
Twelve (12) selected startups will compete live for a grand prize of $10,000, with a total cash prize pool of $22,000 across six categories. Organisers describe it as “not just about winning, but about being seen, backed, and accelerated.”
The semi-finalists will be announced on 18 August, with the final pitch scheduled for 4 September at the 10X Stage, Landmark Centre, Lagos. The event is part of the GITEX Nigeria Startup Festival, which will also host major global tech names like Cisco, IBM, Amazon Web Services, and Kaspersky.
“Be the first to witness the competition,” organisers said, encouraging the public to purchase visitor passes to watch innovators battle for the top spot.
This year’s challenge promises unmatched networking, exposure, and investment opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs.
The event will run alongside other key dates, including the Abuja Summit on 1 September at Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Lagos, and the Landmark Centre sessions on 3–4 September.
