June 26, 2025 – The Gombe State Ministry of Water, Environment and Forest Resources has announced the suspension of the June edition of the monthly sanitation exercise. This was confirmed in an official statement released by the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Mohammed Saidu Fawu.

According to the statement, “The End of Month Sanitation Exercise scheduled for Saturday, 28th June 2025, will no longer hold.” The ministry explained that the suspension became necessary due to the Nationwide JAMB Mop-up Examinations, also scheduled for the same day.

Residents are, however, encouraged to keep their surroundings clean despite the suspension. “We urge all residents to take personal responsibility for maintaining a clean environment by cleaning, clearing, and evacuating drains and drainages within their immediate surroundings,” the Commissioner added.
