Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, will tomorrow attend the distribution of food items to vulnerable groups in Yobe State under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), a social investment programme of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON.

The event is scheduled to take place on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Damaturu. According to officials, this intervention is part of a nationwide programme aimed at supporting disadvantaged households. The focus groups include women, youths, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

Governor Buni is expected to use the occasion to highlight his administration’s support for federal programmes that directly impact citizens. “Our government remains committed to partnering with the Federal Government to implement people-oriented initiatives that bring relief and empower our people,” he said ahead of the event.

The Renewed Hope Initiative, led by the First Lady, is designed to cushion the effects of economic hardship and strengthen inclusivity. Senator Oluremi Tinubu emphasized that “this programme ensures that vulnerable groups across Nigeria are not left behind in government interventions.”

In Yobe, beneficiaries will receive essential food items, marking the roll-out of the initiative in the state. This step reinforces the government’s ongoing efforts to support low-income families.
