Programme Overview
The Agribusiness Management Trainee Programme is a 36-month structured mentorship initiative based in Lagos, with regular travel to farm locations and operational sites. Selected candidates will work closely with the Managing Director, gaining direct exposure to high-level decision-making, business strategy, and operational execution.
Unlike conventional trainee roles, this programme offers a clearly defined pathway into leadership, with successful participants transitioning into senior management roles at the end of the programme.

Salary Range: ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 monthly (reviewed periodically)

Available Tracks
Two candidates will be selected, one for each specialised track:
Track A — Operations & Farm
This track is suited for candidates interested in the operational backbone of agribusiness. Responsibilities include farm management oversight, logistics coordination, supplier management, inventory control, and performance monitoring. Participants will also support staff coordination and farm-level human resource functions.
Career Path: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Track B — Commercial & Business
This track focuses on the commercial and financial side of the business. Responsibilities include managing sales and distribution networks, handling customer relationships, conducting revenue analysis, budgeting, and tracking commercial performance indicators.
Career Path: General Manager or Commercial Director
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a BSc or HND in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines. The programme is open to candidates with 0–3 years of post-graduation experience.
Additional requirements include:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal awareness
- Demonstrated integrity and accountability
- Willingness to travel regularly for field operations
- Genuine interest in agribusiness and Nigeria’s food systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Candidates applying for Track A should have some exposure to operations, logistics, or farm management, while Track B applicants should have experience in sales, finance, or account management.
