The Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN) has officially announced the 2025 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme for the South-West Zone, inviting health records and information management professionals from across the region to attend. This event is set to strengthen skills, ensure up-to-date training, and promote global best practices in health data management.
In an official statement signed by the Registrar/CEO of HRORBN, invitations were extended to key stakeholders across Nigeria’s healthcare sector. These include Vice Chancellors of Nigerian universities, Chief Medical Directors of Teaching Hospitals, Medical Directors of Federal Medical Centres, and heads of various military and paramilitary health services.
The statement emphasized the purpose of the Board, stating that HRORBN is a statutory agency under the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, “established to regulate and control the education, training, and practice of Health Records/Information Management in Nigeria.”
According to the announcement, “The Board has, among its mandates, the promotion of professional training, evidence-based knowledge sharing, scientific research facilitation, and dissemination of relevant healthcare data to users at various levels of healthcare delivery.”
The CPD programme is scheduled to take place at the HIMAN Secretariat, Government Estate, Ilekun, Oda Road, Akure, Ondo State. Arrival is slated for 16th September 2025, while main activities will run from 17th to 18th September. Departure is planned for 19th September 2025.
