Ikore Opens 2026 Graduate Trainee Program for Agricbusiness Roles

Ikore International Development Limited has announced the opening of its Graduate Trainee Program for 2026, offering young professionals a structured pathway into Agricbusiness and development work. The organisation, whose name means harvest in Yoruba, describes itself as an international development body focused on innovative solutions that promote sustainable social and enterprise growth.

Ikore stated that its vision is to contribute to a prosperous world that creates opportunity for a better life for all, especially the poor and vulnerable.

The 6-month contract program is designed for individuals who are passionate about Agricbusiness and eager to learn. According to Ikore, the initiative will expose trainees to practical work where they will join a dynamic team to solve real-world problems, partner with communities, and contribute to home-grown solutions that improve livelihoods and build resilience. The salary range for the program is between N200,000 and N300,000 monthly.

Ikore noted that applicants can apply to specific roles under Partnerships Development. Responsibilities include identifying and building partnerships to support growth, conducting financial and non-financial due diligence, and recommending investment opportunities. The organisation also highlighted tasks such as managing proposal processes from drafting to finalization, participating in technical design through research and interviews, and conducting market research to identify new business opportunities. Ikore added that trainees will track new projects, support marketing efforts, and collaborate with colleagues to select cost-effective approaches. They will also meet potential investors and negotiate business deals.

The program also features Project Implementation Support. Under this area, trainees will support implementation of interventions to ensure project goals are met, facilitate stakeholder meetings, and prepare accurate and timely project reports. Ikore explained that responsibilities extend to analyzing risks, coordinating multiple projects, liaising with partners, and identifying rural market opportunities to guide development of market areas and commodity chains.

For Startup and Technology Management, the organisation said trainees will evaluate how new business models can create value, assess market feasibility, and develop product strategies and business cases. They will also prepare competitive analyses, roadmaps, and Product Requirements Documents to communicate product vision.

Ikore stated that successful applicants will gain mentorship, soft skills, a monthly stipend, and possible retention. Eligibility requires a First Class or Second Class Upper degree in relevant fields, residency in Abuja, and an age range of 22 to 30. Candidates must show strong research, writing, interpersonal skills, creativity, and interest in AgTech. Experience in startups, investment banking, private equity, or related areas is considered an advantage.
