Interswitch has announced that the Interswitch Developer Program 2025 is now open, saying it is part of the Interswitch SkillBase Academy designed to bridge the gap between academic training and workplace-ready skills for fintech. The company described the program as a cohort-based track for early-career software engineers across Africa, with modules built around real-world payment and commerce systems used in large-scale environments.
The registration form collects contact details, experience level, speciality area, NYSC status and a CV upload as part of the application process.
According to Interswitch, applicants must meet specific requirements to join the 2025 intake. The company stated that candidates must be tech enthusiasts, be Nigerian, have between zero and two years of tech experience, select one speciality area and be ready to complete the program once they begin. The organisation said the training offers hands-on technical development across backend, frontend, mobile, QA and DevOps engineering, adding that the practical work teaches integration with payment APIs and scalable systems suitable for young professionals targeting fintech careers.
Interswitch explained that the program also serves as a career pipeline into the company. Officials said the track is designed to identify strong talent for full-time roles, and noted that successful participants are often considered for placement or recruitment. Mentors guiding the cohort include experienced engineers who work on payment platforms and enterprise fintech products. The company added that participants gain networking access through events such as Developer Connect and the API community, providing useful exposure for anyone hoping to advance in software engineering.
The organisation published a step-by-step guide for interested applicants. It advised candidates to visit the Interswitch Developer Program registration page Here, and complete fields including name, email, phone number, gender, state, role, NYSC status, years of experience and their selected speciality area.
Applicants are instructed to upload a CV using the required naming format while keeping the file within the limit stated on the form. Interswitch said candidates must give consent where required and submit the form, after which a confirmation message should arrive.
Interswitch urged applicants to apply quickly because the intake is rolling and assessments may follow as demand for fintech talent remains high.
